  • Organist, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, TX

    Mission Statement: St.Timothy's Church is a traditional Anglican-Catholic parish made up of Christians whose purpose is to worship and glorify God, spread His Holy Gospel, and maintain the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Faith as once delivered to the saints.
    Services Requiring the Organist: One traditional Solemn High Mass every Sunday, Holy Days and Friday evenings in Lent (Stations and Benediction), and weddings/funerals as requested.
    Mass setting: Missa Marialis (in English) with Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Agnus Dei. Also includes an accompanied "Prayers of the People", 5 hymns and a couple of other pieces unique to St. Timothy’s.
    Organ: Two manual Allen electronic organ (purchased new in 1980); installed in a rear loft.
    Choir: Cantor and very small choir. No regular choir practice; an anthem may be sung solo by a choir member and practiced in the 30 minutes prior to Mass. If the new organist desires to start regular choir practice, that can easily be arranged.

  • Organist/Music Associate, University Baptist Church, Fort Worth, TX

    University Baptist Church in Fort Worth is seeking a part-time Organist/Music Associate to begin September 1, 2010. Primary responsibilities will include playing for one weekly Sunday morning worship service, and for choral accompaniment that requires use of the organ. Additional services during the year will include Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. Other negotiable duties could include accompanying the Sanctuary Choir, Youth Ensemble, Children’s Choir and directing Sanctuary Bells, our adult bell choir. Funerals and weddings will be available at an additional fee.
    University Baptist Church has a wonderful Casavant pipe organ, with a newly refurbished console by The Ross King Co. in 2009. The worship at University Baptist Church is a blended format, utilizing multiple styles of music and creative instrumentation, including orchestra. The organ, however, plays a major role in leading our weekly worship. The successful candidate will need to be a strong and creative congregational hymn accompanist.

  • Organist, First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie, TX

    First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie, Texas is seeking an organist. Our organ was built by Wicks Organ Company (opus 6428), installed in May 2005. It includes 44 ranks, three manuals, a pedal board, and is built to AGO specifications. Primary responsibilities include serving as organist on a regular basis for our 8:30a.m. and 11:00a.m. traditional worship services and accompanying the choir on anthems that call for organ accompaniment. This position is separate from our piano accompanist. This position is available October 3, 2010.

    St. Alban’s Parish - Anglican in Arlington, TX is seeking a part-time (6-8 hours weekly) organist / accompanist to begin August 1, 2010.
    Primary responsibilities will include playing for two Sunday morning services each week and accompanying for Wednesday evening rehearsals. Additional weekday services during the year to include Maundy Thursday, The Great Vigil of Easter, Ascension Day, St. Alban’s Day, Thanksgiving Eve, Lessons & Carols, and Christmas Eve. Other negotiable duties to include accompanying the children’s choir and directing handbells. Funerals and weddings are available at an additional fee if desired.
    The music program at St. Alban’s is focused on traditional Anglican worship. We are in the final phases of construction on a new pipe organ being built by Ross King & Co.

    Peace Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Hurst, TX. is looking for a Part Time Organist/Music Associate. Primary responsibilities include:
    Weekly worship services; mid week services during Advent and Lent; major Festivals; and accompanying choral and instrumental musicians.
